A love of art and history defines Parker Prindle’s decision to support the �������ϲʿ����ֳ�ֱ��

As a child in Wilmington, Massachusetts, Parker Prindle begged his parents to bring him to the �������ϲʿ����ֳ�ֱ��, a place they had never been. Seeing ancient Egyptian works at the Museum was his foundation for a lifelong love of art and history.

After receiving both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in history, the former from Harvard, Parker chose to build his career in banking and finance. However, he found a way to combine his analytical acumen with art, through collecting decorative arts objects. He had an eye for undervalued works, and sought them out everywhere from the Brimfield Antique Fair to eBay. Through Parker’s generosity, a number of works from his large collection, ranging from Italian glass to American art deco design, are now in the �������ϲʿ����ֳ�ֱ��’s collection.

Near the end of his career as a portfolio manager, Parker found himself in a position to give back to the Museum, which had profoundly influenced his life. He chose to establish several charitable gift annuities to support the �������ϲʿ����ֳ�ֱ��. “It’s a great way to ensure future generations have the same opportunity that I did to learn and be inspired here, to provide income for myself, and pay less tax,” Parker explained. “And I enjoy the recognition in my lifetime, especially the curatorial talks I’m able to attend as an �������ϲʿ����ֳ�ֱ�� benefactor.”
