This documentary follows filmmaker Carol Mansour鈥檚 multifaceted journey of memory, loss, and return. Monsur鈥檚 mother, Aida, struggles with Alzheimer鈥檚 and often retreats to memories of her childhood home in Yafa, Palestine. After Aida鈥檚 passing, Mansour enlists friends in Beirut to help return her mother鈥檚 ashes to Yafa. This intimate film captures the efforts of a diverse group of friends and strangers who come together to complete this deeply personal yet universal journey, serving as both a tribute to the lost past of the director鈥檚 family and a nod to the exiled Palestinians denied the right to return home, even in death.
