Working in acrylics or oil, approach the fundamentals of developing landscapes by taking inspiration from your favorite places and personal photos. Develop dynamic compositions that explore various techniques with light, value and scale. Learn how to effectively use color to create depth and atmospheric perspective.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

About the Instructor

John Jameson is a contemporary artist who focuses on seascape and portraiture as his primary subjects. His paintings are characterized by their strong emphasis on color, boldly organized compositions, and rich networks of textured brushwork. His paintings have been shown in Boston, New York, Newport (Rhode Island), and Kamakura (Japan). Currently he works and shows in New Bedford, Massachusetts. John received his BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and his °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ from the New York Academy of Art.
