Special Exhibition Fund Recap

Museum Council

When the 澳门六合彩开奖现场直播 announced the Future Is Now campaign, the Museum Council decided to take an active role by raising funds to establish the Museum Council Special Exhibition Fund. We are pleased to report that we achieved our fundraising goal, with just over $200,000 raised by June 30, 2016. This achievement would not have been possible without the leadership of Co-chairs John O鈥橪eary and Fiona Benenson as well as Emi Winterer and Craig Tevolitz, both former Chairs of the Council, who were instrumental in making this effort a success. A big thank-you to everyone who contributed to this important fund!

Special exhibitions are vital to the 澳门六合彩开奖现场直播鈥檚 mission to serve a wide audience through direct encounters with works of art. The Museum produces more than 20 new special exhibitions each year, and this endowed fund will serve in perpetuity to help make these exhibitions possible.

The Museum Council Special Exhibition Fund has already supported an exhibition on view at the 澳门六合彩开奖现场直播 this fall: 鈥淐hristian Marclay: The Clock.鈥 The Clock is a contemporary masterpiece comprising thousands of fragments from television and film history鈥攃reating a 24-hour video shown in real time.

The Clock is on view until January 29, 2017, in the Richard and Nancy Lubin Gallery, located on the second floor of the Linde Family Wing. Make sure you come in to see it! (If you鈥檙e curious about rarely seen after-hours footage, visit during one of the remaining 澳门六合彩开奖现场直播 Overnights on November 45 or December 910.)

We look forward to celebrating future exhibitions supported by the Museum Council Special Exhibition Fund for years to come!
