Programming for visitors with disabilities to engage with the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥â€™s collections is available both in-person and virtually through Zoom. Join the guides and connect with other visitors to explore art together.

Programs

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥or-centered, interactive tours designed for groups with disabilities, which may include physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, people with dementia, or those undergoing medical treatment, among others. The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ offers two regular touring options for visitors with memory loss and their care partners. Second Saturdays at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ is a monthly in-person tour at 10 am on the second Saturday of the month. Virtual Wednesdays is a virtual tour on Zoom the fourth Wednesday of every other month at 2 pm. All tours are visitor-centered and interactive, encouraging participant involvement in conversation with the guides. Reservations are required, and space is limited.

Join us for a monthly virtual descriptive tour themed around current special exhibitions or highlighting different parts of the Museum collection. Virtual tours are on Zoom on the third Saturday of the month at 3 pm. Reservations are required. Please contact access@mfa.org to register.

In-person Feeling for Form tours are available to visitors who are blind or have low vision who request a tour in advance. The tour may include tactile exploration of selected sculpture and furniture, verbal description, tactile graphics and other materials. Contact access@mfa.org to schedule a tour.

Join our Deaf guides as they explore the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥â€™s collection and special exhibitions! Tours are held in American Sign Language with no English interpretation. Tour dates and times vary and are held either during the week in the evening or on a weekend. Reservations are required. Please contact access@mfa.org for more information or to register.

Beyond the Spectrum is a specially designed program for children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Classes meet on select Saturdays from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, with optional additional studio time from 11:30 am to 12 pm. Each class combines close looking and discussion with an art-making activity.
